HOW MUCH WILL IT COST ME?
For most issues, it is £65 per session. I always offer 2 hours for the price of 1 for your first consultation.
Children, Teens and Students: £45 per session.
For Smoking or Vaping Cessation it is £150.
Weight Management: "WHY" Weight Management Mp3 recordings. It is £75 for the 4 Mp3's.
HOW DO I PAY?
I accept cash or payment through BAC's transfer, where you can use a debit or credit card to pay. I do not have the ability to accept payment by debit or credit card separately.
I do charge for late cancellations or failure to attend. Please see the below or the “Packages and Bookings” tab.
HOW LONG DO SESSIONS LAST?
General sessions usually last for 1 hour.
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
This varies from person to person and is very difficult to say, as everyone is different and will respond differently to hypnosis. Initially I usually offer 3-5 consultations and then we review progress together. Until we start working together in therapy, neither of us has any real idea of how quickly or effectively it will work for you.
Overall, it very much depends on your goals, your issue and what interventions we agree on. The number of sessions that would benefit you will be something we will discuss and agree both initially and as we go along. My goal is to enable you to overcome your concern or condition as quickly as possible, and I actively encourage and teach self hypnosis, to enable you to take control.
However, although there is no set limit to the number of sessions you can have, as I offer both short and long term therapy, fundamentally my aim is to enable you to find resolution as quickly as you can.

Sessions are arranged to suit you and your budget. As a rough guide, I usually see clients weekly or fortnightly to start with. However, it depends on what you are consulting me about. As you progress it is very common for the need to come to become less and a three week or monthly gap to be common. Ultimately you will decide when you no longer need to come to see me. However, you can always call if you need some support at a later date and visit for some short term support or interventions on other issues that may have arisen in your life.
I WORK, CAN I COME IN THE EVENING?
Yes, I try to accommodate my clients lifestyle and needs and offer some evening appointments.
DO YOU OFFER VIRTUAL CONSULTATIONS?
Yes, I can offer this for clients who don't live near enough to come to me.

WILL YOU BE IN CONTROL OF ME?
No. Being hypnotised never allows someone to take control of you. In your consultations you will always remain completely in control throughout, and you will feel so relaxed, that although – you could get up and walk away if you felt like it during a session – you won’t want to!
It is a fact that everyone experiences light hypnosis every day, in everyday activities. Examples of this would be when you are in a taxi, on the bus, watching the television or reading and you are not completely aware of what is going on around you. Your mind is either wandering or totally focussed and you may feel a bit “spaced out”.That experience is a light hypnotic trance. It is a completely natural state.
If you are struggling, cannot imagine reaching your goal without outside help, or have tried other means to achieve your goal without success, I believe that this is when hypnotherapy can help. My purpose is to help you to reach your goal, supporting you until the time comes that you feel comfortable with your new changes and you no longer need my support.
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE FIRST SESSION?
In the first session, I will take a full history asking you some general and medical questions so I can get some information about yourself and what has prompted you to seek Hypnotherapy. I will tell you my terms and conditions and I will explain the general principles of Hypnotherapy and confidentiality to you.
After the first 30 minutes I will ask you if you want to continue with treatment. If you do, we will carry on and you will pay for the full session, as normal. If you decide not to continue, you will be free to leave owing me nothing and I will destroy the form with your information that we have been completing.

I like to use a mixture of traditional counselling, visualisation and hypnotherapy. So the first part of the session involves me questioning, explaining and listening as you tell me about your concerns, in your own time.
The hypnotherapy part is when I do the speaking. It is designed primarily to help you to relax, because when you are relaxed you are more able to focus on your own needs and wants. Normally you will have your eyes closed during hypnosis so that you can relax more. I’ll talk about your breathing and where you are sitting or lying. Deep relaxation allows you to free your mind of any restrictive thoughts and feelings in a safe and controlled way. You are then in the ideal place to visualise and this makes it a lot easier to reach your goal.

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO TREAT ALL THESE DIFFERENT CONDITIONS YOU LIST?
You are not alone in having problems. Lots of people suffer from the same types of fears, phobias or problems. Overall, I use a combination of my counselling skills and Hypnotherapy, plus some tools I have taken additional training in. One of the tools that Hypnotherapists use are what are commonly known as “scripts”. Some of these are written down, some just remembered or composed as we speak. I have used my knowledge and experience to write basic “specialist scripts” for conditions or concerns. I then personalise them for you.
After helping you to relax deeply, I will use your personalised script to suggest the change that you and I have agreed upon previously. I also teach you visualisation and how to use self hypnosis.
IS IT THE SAME AS STAGE HYPNOSIS?
No. In stage hypnosis, the participants are often in trance but it is designed primarily to entertain others and is often at the participants’ expense. The big difference with Hypnotherapy is that whilst you are in a hypnotic trance you are fully supported, respected and directed towards your own goals. The process is never to entertain others or ridicule you. Further, and very importantly, no Hypnotist or Hypnotherapist can make anyone do anything they don’t want to do.
DO YOU WORK WITH CHILDREN?
Yes, I will work with children from the age of 8 upwards.
I do not work with children younger than 8 because younger children do not generally have the reasoning capacities necessary for hypnotherapy to be effective. Naturally, it is better if a responsible adult is also present but there are occasions when a child would prefer to be alone with me.
WILL I BE ASLEEP IN THE SESSION?
You may fall asleep during the session because you are so relaxed and comfortable.
This is not a problem as the suggestions given to you are still absorbed and processed by your unconscious mind. You will also have your MP3 to listen to, as often as you want, between your appointments.
WHAT IF I’M STILL NOT SURE?
Don’t worry about this. It’s natural to be cautious. The best thing to do is to get in contact with me, either by phone or by email and we can talk about your concerns before you decide to come and see me. Even when you come for the first consultation, nothing will happen without your permission. You can ask me questions and there will be no Hypnosis unless you feel comfortable with it. You do not have to commit to anything by coming to see me and you can decide after 30 minutes to leave, with no embarrassment or obligation.

- Please be prompt for your appointment as sessions must commence at the time booked. If you are late, we will still finish at the same time and you will be charged for the full session.
- When you make an appointment I reserve the whole session for you. I will need at least two working days notice (excluding Sundays and Bank Holidays) if you wish to cancel or reschedule an appointment otherwise you will be liable to pay the full session fee. If you cancel late I cannot make use of ‘your time’ by filling your session with a different client. Thus a missed session represents lost income for the me plus a lost opportunity for another client.
